how do you feel about this one lori?
I guess I was in a rush to put this up so I didn't comment on it, lol. But I def think it's something unexpected concept from Solange, and even for the song it self, it's such a light, kinda feel good tune. I think that it was a risk to go forward with the political angle as they travel from decade to decade which I didnt really get until I saw it the second time. Some of the shots of the black folk getting hosed down where "unexpected" i think originally i thought it was a bit much. i like taking risks and being different especially within the world of music videos- I'm sure that there were clear cut ideas submitted like, let's see solange chilling with her girls, passing looks with a cute boy at a coffee shot- then it ends at a house party with her and her girls ad her the boy finally link up- so i like it! lol its great art direction, and i think solange looks great- of course there are certain looks that are very beyonce esque but i think its a great "first time video" for her (dont think this is her first video tho) i need to find out who directed it ;)
